How it works
- Betsy prepares or receives the finalized event announcement as a Microsoft Word document.
- Edward runs the event-draft assistant with the event type and year.
- The assistant extracts the event details and prepares a structured draft.
- The draft is reviewed on the website’s draft preview page and corrected as needed.
- Only an approved draft is promoted to the public event calendar.
Preparing a draft does not publish the event. Review and approval remain separate steps.
Prepare the announcement
The Word document should contain the finalized title, dates, times and time zone, location or online-attendance information, sessions, speakers, presentation titles, and abstracts when available.
Send the document to Edward and identify whether it is an Annual Conference or Distinguished Lectureship, along with the event year.
Process and review
Edward processes the document from the SAGP umbrella repository using the AI-assisted event creation command documented in the SysAdmin instructions.
